Welcome to the Lone Oak Forge, I'm Caleb French and I am currently an American Bladesmith Society Journeyman Smith. I started this journey around 7 years old when I met legendary Master Bladesmith Steve Schwarzer. I  knew then I wanted to make blades and started tinkering with scrap steel on an a homemade anvil from my grandfather's old shop. Fast forward to 2010 And I started making real blades from proper steel with an actual heat treatment. Bladesmithing is my passion and I strive to create quality works of art that are as functional as they are beautiful.
